A visit to the Castle during your stay is a must, there is so much to see and do. Plus a lovely tearoom too with eat in or takeaway options - there are a couple of dog friendly tables in the entrance hall but we sat outside today before a walk down to the river for a lazy few hours 😁

Tennants Fine Art Auctioneers create some wonderful exhibitions (no admission fee) and this one is a beauty. You can also buy Jo's art from the walls at The Bridge Inn, Grinton too while enjoying a pint or two and a chat with the locals 👍

A quiet moment of reflection at Tennants in Leyburn today, as a visitor takes in Jo Selwyn-Smith’s striking and atmospheric landscapes. His work captures the drama and mood of the Dales skies with real emotional depth. A beautiful exhibition well worth seeing.

Well worth a trip out to the other end of Wensleydale, it's a VERY special place 💗😍

GARDEN TOURS 🌷

Private tours chart the gardens from their medieval beginnings, their original plans and plants, to how the gardens have evolved to what they are today – a celebration of the legacy of the gardens surrounding the castle.

Bolton Castle, includes a walled vineyard and Mary Garden, Dyer’s Garden, Rose Garden and maze.

Tours are available for up to 30 people for £50 per group per day (plus the usual admission charge) and will last for approximately an hour.
