There’s plenty happening in and around Liskeard this weekend, with markets, music, local history and some duck racing!
On Saturday shop locally at the monthly The Workshed Collective Market (under the Cattle Market Canopy), with a fantastic selection of Cornish businesses and local traders offering handmade items, gifts, food, art and more. A great opportunity to support local makers and producers.
While you are in town there is also a Grand Family History & Local History Discovery Day at The Public Hall on Saturday. South-East Cornwall Museums Forum brings together a variety of local organisations for a special discovery day. Whether you’re an experienced researcher or have no idea where to start, there will be friendly advice and plenty to discover. Entry is free.
The 90’s British psychedelic rock band Kula Shaker head underground for what promises to be a very special gig at Carnglaze Caverns. Hear favourites including Tattva, Hush and Govinda in the incredible surroundings of this unique venue. Also on Saturday, Sterts Arts and Environmental Centre are hosting a Last Night of the Proms, expect an uplifting evening packed with music, merriment and tradition, complete with familiar pomp and pageantry, flag-waving fun and plenty of rousing cheer!
On Sunday, in aid of Cancer Research (Relay for Life – Liskeard) The Great Duloe Duck Race will take place. Pick your duck and also enjoy teas, coffee, cake and a Tombolo!
