Phill & Polly live, work and play in the heart of the Cambrian Mountains of mid Wales. We have over 20 years guiding experience in both the UK and Europe, and our knowledge and experience of Wales will ensure you have an amazing mountain biking adventure across one of Britain's last remaining wild landscapes. We're ideally situated to guide you across Wales along the Trans Cambrian Way (our speciality), explore the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons to the south, or the stunning Snowdonia National Park to the north. The Elan Valley is also a favourite of ours, and its large expanse of open land and excellent bridleways offer riders a true wild and remote adventure at every twist and turn along the trail. The forest centres at Nant Yr A***n, Coed Y Brenin and the Dyfi Forest also have excellent trail heads and are a great day out if you don't want to look at a map. However just a pedal stroke away are a network of off piste single-track trails that offer the seasoned trail rider so much more. All our weekends include great accommodation, food, guiding and transfers, and give you a real flavour of mid Wales life along your journey. Traws Eryri Day 4 - Capel to Conwy along the North Wales Coast. Wind and rain had passed leaving a glorious day for riding through Ogwen Valley and its majestic towering peaks rising high above the valley floor.

Sychnant Pass still showing the scars from Julys wildfires, but growth is starting to show through in a few places.

A fast drop down into Conwy to finish, and a well earned ice cream (or beer) for their achievements for 4 days of riding in mixed weather, 2 dry, 2 wet! It’s is September after all!

A BIG thanks to everyone this weekend, on and off the bike, for their enthusiasm, support and humour throughout. Look forward to seeing you all again very soon. P&P and Suki. 🐾🐾

Traws Eryri Day 2 from Dolgellau to Llan Ffestiniog through the forest of kings, Sarn Helen, and Trawsfynydd. Conditions were perfect, lots of grip on the classic trails in CYB and a lovely temp for climbing.

Saturday isn’t looking quite so good weather wise, but it’s still better than sitting indoors wishing you were riding!

We’re back on the Traws Eryri this weekend, our last journey this way of 2026. It’s been drier than the Sahara all summer, so it had to break at some point!!

So it was a dry start to the day as Polly and the gang rolled out from Machynlleth and up the ClimachX for a little adrenaline to start the day.

Then onto Aberganolwyn for a well lunch while the heavens opened! Cadair in cloud and a very damp Mawddach, but luckily super warm still and everyone was smiling with their achievements for the day.

Thanks to I&H Independent Hostel accommodation South Eryri for getting everyone to rooms so promptly 👏🏻👏🏻

The Midwinter Roam: Gravel Edition 🔥🌲
A wild weekend of winter gravel riding, firelight, and feasting in the heart of Mid Wales.

Join us for a unique winter gravel adventure through the remote landscapes of the Cambrian Mountains and Hafren Forest. Based at The Lodge in Staylittle, this 3-day event is designed for gravel riders who relish crisp air, big views, and the quiet solitude of winter miles.

🗺️ The Riding

Expect two full days of guided gravel rides, covering a mix of:

Long-forgotten drover roads

Forest doubletrack

Flowing fire roads and windswept open moorland

Icy climbs and fast, frozen descents

Routes are designed for intermediate to experienced gravel riders and will vary between 40–70km per day with elevation to match. We'll ride in groups, guided by local experts who know every hidden track and scenic detour.

🔥 The Lodge Experience

After the ride, retreat to the comfort of The Lodge, Staylittle — a warm, rustic mountain lodge tucked between the trees. Here's what to expect:

Hearty post-ride meals made with local ingredients

Wood-burning stoves and cosy shared spaces

Local ales, mulled drinks, and Welsh treats

A community of like-minded riders sharing stories fireside

You bring your sense of adventure — we’ll handle the rest.

Trans Cambrian Way Day 3, Llangurig to Machynlleth via Glaslyn NR. The final push for the finish could not have been finer, warm sunshine and clear views as far as Yr Wyddfa to the north.

The decent down Foel Fadian was a challenge for a few, and everyone made it down safely, buzzing with adrenaline!!!

Glyndwrs Way and the final drop down the golf course gives the riders the perfect end to an epic three days of riding across Wales.

Safe travels to all our amazing guests this weekend, super fun on and off the bike. To new guide Alex for his support and insights, great to have you on board.

Day two of the Trans Cambrian Way from Rhayader to Llangurig is always an epic challenge for many, and this week a little more so!

Weather conditions were perfect as headed into Elan Valley, an autumn feel to the air, with sunshine breaking through as we neared Teifi Pools.

With Rali Ceredigion in full flow down Cwmystwyth we’d planned to climb up to Cefn Croes, one of the highest tracks in mid Wales at 600m. It’s one tough climb, but well worth the effort for the panoramic views of the mountains and coastline. Stunning.

A big descent through the wind farm and back into the last few forestry climbs in the TCW.

Some tired legs, but a great sense of achievement for everyone.

We’re back on the Trans Cambrian Way this weekend, with Phil & Alex holding the reins. After an unexpected storm whipped through on Thursday night, the rain subsided to leave a dry and settled Friday. However it left a devilish head wind all day long, making progress tough along Beacon Hill.

Wind aside, our group push on very well finishing on time in Rhayader for a nice relaxing evening. 👏🏻👏🏻

Day two of the Deuter UK Trail Attack with Atherton Bikes at Dyfi Bike Park was an absolute blast with both Rachel and Dan shredding up the trail with competition winners all day long.

After rain on Saturday, the park was running really well, grip where you needed it most, great conditions from top of the mountain to the bottom. 👌🏻

Big up to Dave and the cafe crew for delicious food all day long.

Finally a big thanks to Tony for letting me tag along with Suki
