Luxury is often associated with the biggest suites, the most expensive hotels and the most exclusive destinations.

But I think genuine luxury can be much simpler than that 👇

It's waking up somewhere beautiful and having nowhere you need to be.

It's a hotel where the staff remember your name.

It's a room with an incredible view.

It's a beautifully prepared meal with fresh local ingredients.

It's a private transfer that means you don't have to worry about a thing after a long flight.

And sometimes, luxury is simply having everything work exactly as you hoped it would.

After years working in travel, here's one interesting thing I've learned...

The perfect holiday doesn’t exist… at least not one that’s perfect for everyone 🌍

I’ve booked holidays for people who want nothing more than a quiet beach, a good book and a week of doing absolutely nothing.

I’ve also booked trips for people who want to explore every day, try new food, see as much as possible and come home needing another holiday to recover!

Then there are the families looking for somewhere that works for everyone, couples celebrating something special, solo travellers wanting a bit of freedom, and those who simply want a bit of luxury and to be looked after.

That’s one of the things I love about travel. Everyone has their own version of what a great holiday looks like.
It’s why I think understanding the person is just as important as knowing the destination.

The best holiday isn’t necessarily the most expensive, the most luxurious or the one with the best reviews.

It's the one that suits you 🫵

And after all these years, I still love the challenge of finding that perfect fit.

Virgin Atlantic has launched a sale on direct flights from Manchester to Bridgetown, Barbados making it a great time to start thinking about a Caribbean escape.
