Just got back from Italy 🇮🇹 celebrating my dad’s 60th.

Amazing food, great spots, and a proper mix of exploring and being out and about (definitely not a sit-by-the-pool kind of holiday).

We based ourselves in Sorrento and travelled out from there, which worked really well. I’d always recommend having a base unless you’re planning to move around every few nights.

Capri is 100% worth doing, but more as a day trip unless you’re staying somewhere like Jumeirah. Completely different vibe, but easy enough to get over and back.

Positano was great as well, but again somewhere to dip into rather than rely on as your main base unless you pick it right.

It’s also worth knowing there’s a lot of walking. Hills, steps, heat… it adds up. Definitely something to think about. Having family there for extra hands made a big difference.

Perfect holiday for the right person if you’re into exploring, scenery, and good food.

• The FCDO is advising against all but essential travel
• Most travel insurance policies won’t cover you if you travel against that advice
• If your package is imminently affected and booked via an ATOL-registered agent, you are entitled to a full refund
