And book 3 of 3. Complete. Absolutely loved it. The characters are so lovable I cried buckets. What a wonderful story (if you like dragons, eccentric and lovely turns of phrase). I hope there's are more books to come! (Also, London features in book 3... no spoilers though!) x

🦁 🐲 🦅 we found some great animals on out walk around Rome... which one do you like the best? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6? I'm quite taken by 3 and 6! What is going on with 6?!

A lovely meal at Ristorante Maccheroni in Piazza della Coppelle with Papa Ciacci (your Rome guide!) – a cheese, honey and walnut starter and then Roman classics – Carbonara and Amatriciana. Very Roman and a lovely atmosphere!

📚🐲 I have just finished book 2 which I have absolutely loved. A sort of Pride and Prejudice, with the love interests being a spinster and a vicar, travelling through Wales with a dragon. Quenby Olsen writes beautifully and the dragon is adorable... I want one (🐲) but my cats will have to do.

This is going on the books my daughter might like to read shelf, and in the meantime I'm not sure I can wait til Monday for book 3.

I saw the best lion and unicorn (representing England and Scotland), curling round the base of this unusual spire... very dramatic! And totally in keeping with the surreal and Baroque architecture of Nicholas Hawksmoor. This is St George's Church Bloomsbury, consecrated in 1730 and near the British Museum.
