Now you don’t see that every day! 🎈 ✈️ 🇬🇧

Caught some proper brilliant footage of the legendary Goodyear Blimp coming in for a landing. Seeing something this massive move so gracefully through the air is absolute magic, so I sped it up slightly to capture the whole descent.

It is a great reminder that whether you are looking up at the skies or exploring down on the ground, Britain is full of unexpected, fascinating sights if you know where to look.

While I can’t offer tours in an airship just yet, my modern eco-electric London cab is definitely the next best thing for taking in the view. Imagine stepping into Hyde Park in 1851 and seeing a giant palace made entirely of glass and iron.

The Great Exhibition was Prince Albert’s grand vision, bringing together over 14,000 exhibitors and 100,000 treasures from around the globe under one massive roof. From the legendary Koh-i-Noor diamond to early fax machines, C**t revolvers, and even the world’s first public flushing toilets (where visitors paid a penny for a seat and a fresh towel!), it completely redefined London as the centre of innovation.

While the Crystal Palace was later moved to South London before sadly burning down in 1936, the legacy of that historic summer in Hyde Park still echoes right across the city today.

Ever heard of “Farting Lane” in London? 🚖🔥

Tucked away just off the Strand in Carting Lane sits one of London’s most unusual bits of Victorian engineering: the last remaining Webb Patent Sewer Gas Destructor Lamp

Designed in the late 19th century to burn off dangerous methane building up in the sewers below, it sits right alongside the world-famous Savoy Hotel. Cabbies nicknamed it “Farting Lane” because, as the story goes, the sheer volume of luxury waste from the hotel helped keep the flame lit day and night!

👇 A quiet thought for a Tuesday evening.

It is incredibly easy to get caught up in the expectations, the endless to-do lists, and the daily pressures of modern life. We spend so much time looking at metrics, titles, and chasing the next milestone, that we often forget to look at what truly matters.

This audio hit home for me tonight. If you strip away all the noise, the only two opinions that carry any real weight are the eight-year-old version of you who had big dreams, and the eighty-year-old version of you looking back on the life you chose to live.

That is exactly why I changed direction a few years back to become a certified guide. I wanted to create something meaningful. I wanted to help curious travellers break away from the frantic, box-ticking pace of generic travel and help them slow down to discover the genuine soul, the stories, and the real textures of a place.

Life is far too short to spend it on autopilot, just surviving the week.
Take a breath, look at how far you have come, and make sure you are building a story that both the child you were and the elder you will become can look back on with absolute pride.

This morning was an absolute blockbuster on the streets of London. I had the pleasure of taking a wonderful family out in the modern taxi to tick off the “Big Six” highlights of the capital.
We started bright and early, soaking up the history at Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, and the Tower of London before making our way across a spectacular Tower Bridge.

But the best part of any sightseeing journey is how it finishes. After a busy morning uncovering the local stories and hidden details of the city, we wrapped up the tour exactly the right way, dropping a very happy, satisfied group off right outside Harrods for a well-deserved afternoon tea and a spot of shopping.
