We’re building a curated, career-friendly platform which puts trust, transparency, and user experience first. Hosts are vetted, every placement structured, and every review is honest and timely. No dorms. No backpacker burnout. Just real people, incredible places, and meaningful exchanges. Our platform is designed for professionals on sabbatical, early retirees, and value-driven travellers seeking something different: the chance to explore the world while contributing skills and energy where they’re truly appreciated. At the same time, we help hosts reclaim time and make progress on projects they care about, without hiring trades or managing volunteers through clunky systems. Far From is launching soon, starting with a curated set of hosts across the UK. if your brain feels fried, you're not lazy!
it's probably because you're overstimulated.
scrolling, notifications, too many tabs, constant noise. your nervous system is asking for a break that "digital detox" doesn't fix.

here's what actually works:
- stop stacking stimulation on top of stimulation
- swap scrolling for something with a tangible end (pick raspberries, paint a fence, walk some alpacas)
- add 10–20 mins of real silence (no podcast, no playlist, just walking)
- spend a few hours offline and actually feel the difference

Work-for-accommodation stays in the UK do this for you automatically. you trade a few hours of your time for beautiful and comfortable, free, private, accommodation.

#1 if you love photography, feeding alpacas, being outdoors - then search for hosts who need help with the thing you love doing and you'll love spending time there even more 😍

#2 seeing sunrises from different places is something beautiful

#3 pack the essentials! You know the location and the volunteering ahead of time, so pack accordingly!

#4 Lots of hosts still need help in July and August, like this Cornwall host!

#5 Live like a local! Get the tips from the hosts on where to go, they know the area best and can help advise on where to spend your downtime (beach beach beach!) ⛱️
