What a great week of weather and a very varied week for us, several lovely families joined us on our sightseeing trips where we have seen lots dolphins and sea birds . Our 1 hour mackerel/wreck fishing trips have proved very popular with first timers and families lots catching there 1st ( 2nd, 3rd....) fish.

We have had Exeter university first year students out learning how to deploy and recover camera trap equipment, very interesting and am looking forward to seeing the results.

Several 3, 4 and 8 hour fishing trips, conger days with almost a 1000lbs to the boat, with fish to 60lbs, lots of good size bream caught (and released) rays, gurnard, huss, smoothound and the usual suspects.
Friday evening saw our 2nd species league competition , great fun as usual and pretty much not stop action, and a close match right to the end.

And we had a bonus of beautiful butterfly.

Perfect end to an amazing bank holiday weekend, on our last sightseeing trip we were joined by around 60 common dolphins, magical experience, still a few places left tomorrow.

Fantastic weather the last few days with today absolutely flat calm, but too blooming hot!
Fishing has been ok too, good few bream up to 2lb 10, several rays, bullhuss and the usual bits n pieces, Cyril broke his goby duck yesterday and the last 2 days have been a conger fest lots and lots up to about 30lbs even getting double shots a times.
We had several moths flying past I assume migrating , including a hummingbird hawk moth and a fair bit of bird life about , some late arriving swallows and a great northern diver on Friday.
We do 3-8 hour fishing trip all welcome with gear avaliable, there really is something for everyone.
Also 1 hour sightseeing and mackerel fishing trips.

A lovely surprise the last 3 days fishing, we actually had mackerel , Friday and Saturday we had birds everywhere, a good few mackerel and plenty of bass amongst them, although they were tricky to get on the hook.
The bream were there usuall bait robbing selves but we all had a good few with some beautiful coloured fish, most returned to finish spawning.
Saturday we had chris and young ollie on with a regular bunch and ollie showed us all how to do it, dozens of mackeral, bream, huss and congers bigger than him, top little angler!!
Today we did the lyme regis angling club monthly species comp with 2 other boats, tricky at times but we did good in the end Top rod Mark fished really well maxing out on several species we also had 2nd, 3rd and 4th on the boat.
A great fun few days with some cracking fish caught and best of all I got fresh mackerel for my tea!
