There's something special about eating fish and chips by the sea. The sound of the waves, the salty sea air, and the coastal views make them taste even better. Our favourite spot for a takeaway is Herbies by the Cobb in Lyme Regis.

Authentic seaside rock is one of Britain’s most cherished coastal traditions and you can get your hands on some traditional, handmade “Lyme Regis Rock” from Lyme Rocks in Bridge Street.

Whether you're taking home a souvenir of your visit, sharing a taste of the seaside with friends and family, or simply indulging in a classic treat, rock captures the timeless charm of the British coast.

Find Lyme Rocks on the ground floor of the historic Guildhall building, just moments from the museum.

The Town Mill is marking 25 years - With The Town Mill boasting a thousand years of history, you can feel its rich heritage and traditions in the very fabric of the place.

This year’s Mill Fest isn’t just a celebration - it’s a milestone. Over the Bank Holiday weekend of May 23, 24 and 25, the Town Mill is marking 25 years since it was saved from dereliction and given new life in the heart of Lyme Regis. What was once abandoned has become a place of creativity, craft and community - and Mill Fest is a celebration of that journey and of the artisan skills and ancient crafts still thriving in this very special nook of Lyme.

Set against a backdrop of over 1,000 years history, the weekend is a shared appreciation of heritage and handmade. It’s a chance to experience the Town Mill area as it is today : alive, evolving and full of character.

This is a free to attend family-friendly event featuring live music, children's activities, craft demonstrations, hands-on experiences and food and drink tastings. Come along and be a part of it!
