Exploring Sentosa Island, Singapore ๐คฉ
If you are planning a trip to Singapore, Sentosa Island is an absolute must do. We recently spent some time exploring the island, and while Universal Studios Singapore was a massive highlight, there is so much more to this island playground than meets the eye.
Our day at Universal Studios was packed with incredible sights. From the iconic spinning globe at the entrance to the towering spires of the Far Far Away castle, the park truly brings movies to life. We loved spotting all the details, like the Puss in Boots wanted posters and the charming frog king fountain. The Despicable Me topiary family and the Minion guards in Super Silly Fun Land were a hit, and passing through those massive Jurassic Park gates is an experience you will not forget. We even stopped for some Shrek shaped waffles, which were as fun to look at as they were to eat.
But Sentosa Island extends far beyond the theme park gates. It is a complete resort destination with activities for every kind of traveler.
If you are looking to cool down after a busy morning, Adventure Cove Waterpark is just around the corner. It features high speed water slides, a relaxing lazy river, and even a snorkeling reef where you can swim alongside tropical fish. For marine life enthusiasts, the S.E.A. Aquarium is home to over 800 species, including manta rays and sharks, housed in one of the largest underwater acrylic domes in the world.
For those seeking a bit of relaxation, Sentosa boasts several beautiful, white sand beaches. Palawan Beach is famous for its iconic suspension bridge that links to the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia, offering a perfect spot to unwind and take in the tropical views. Siloso Beach is another great option, known for its vibrant atmosphere and beachfront dining.
Thrill seekers are also well catered for on the island. You can experience the rush of indoor skydiving at iFly Singapore, take a ride on the Skyline Luge, or soar above the treetops on the MegaZip at Mega Adventure Park.
Whether you want to ride the movies, relax on a pristine beach, or get your adrenaline pumping, Sentosa Island has it all. It is incredibly easy to reach via the Sentosa Express or a scenic cable car ride from the mainland, making it the perfect addition to any Singapore itinerary.
