Another unreal session today, hard going first thing due to conditions but once the weather settled we were into a steady stream of triggers… lost count but somewhere in the region of 60/70 triggers I’ve no idea anymore 🤷‍♂️ it’s just great fishing!

112 Triggers caught and released with a special mention for Steve Dawe who bagged himself 38 fish!!!

Weathers picking up we’re running home!!! Back on triggers again tomorrow

Red sky in morning… triggers warning!!! We comin for ya

A 3 day booking with the guys from Plymouth for triggers saw us push out on day one in snotty weather, huge swells and high winds which completely turned the fishing off. The triggers do not like that bad weather, day two was blown out as was the morning of day 3 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ but a small weather window in the afternoon saw us roll the dice on a couple hours on the ground and it was great not to send the guys away empty handed.

A huge learning curve for myself as a skipper, learning the behaviour and the best tactics to use whilst fishing for triggers fish in rough weather.

Anyways job done we got there in the end, back out this morning to do it all again 👍

Great Day with the Species League on a 4 boat comp alongside Che Sara, Emma Kate, and Prue Esther.

Plenty of species caught by all accounts showcasing how species rich the north coast is.

Steve and the lads had a great half hour on the triggers 👍

Not been posting much lately we’ve been flat out with holiday makers on shorter trips and it’s been a really busy time but we made it to September 🙏

Back out today on the triggers and what can I say? Brilliant session plenty of fish…

Here is Jack with a couple of nice ones!

Jack Also left an underwater camera down and the results regarding species moving on the ground were interesting to say the least.

Not only triggers but red mullet and Gilts??? I’ve never caught either there before… I’ve always said there should be gilts on the ground there but having never hooked one put it to the back of my mind… time to start mixing it up and seeing if we can’t start exploring these species … exciting!!!
