Leading from the front. Sometimes animals graze together, reducing their individual risk from predators. Zebras have excellent hearing and can detect approaching predators.🦓🦓

Giraffes, with their incredible height, act like lookout towers—spotting lions or hyenas from far away.🦒🦒
Together, they create an early warning system for each other.

Tucked away in a shady grove of riverine forest, Mara Toto Tree Camp offers front-row seats to incredible wildlife encounters — from prowling big cats to the steady march of antelope. Elevated walkways connect just four canvas suites, each designed for privacy, relaxation, and a deep connection to the surrounding landscape.

You slip into the warm water of a claw-footed tub set on a private wooden deck, its edges worn smooth by time and sun. The horizon burns with the colors of an African sunset — tangerine, deep coral, and molten gold melting into each other above the savanna.

Acacia trees cast long shadows over the rustling grass. A gentle breeze carries the scent of wild sage and warm earth. Somewhere nearby, a lion lets out a low, rumbling call — deep and resonant — as if reminding the land who it belongs to. Birds flutter home, silhouetted against the last light. The soft patter of hooves tells you a herd of buffaloes is moving through.

You close your eyes. The water hugs your skin. The sky darkens to indigo. Above, stars begin to pierce the twilight.

You are utterly still, yet surrounded by life.

Tag a someone you would want to share this magical moment with.

Watch this insane sighting of this huge male leopard just outside of Shingwedzi camp. He crossed the road, marked some territory and then vocalised right next to us!!! Pure Magic!

Despite their ecological importance, snakes often trigger fear. But research shows that positive, informed interactions—like relocation services or education—lead to greater appreciation and lower rates of their killing.

Snakes regulate populations of rodents, insects, amphibians, birds, and even other reptiles. This helps prevent overpopulation of pest species, reducing crop damage and limiting the spread of rodent‑borne diseases like Lyme disease, hantavirus, and leptospirosis.
