🏡 Changeover Day at Whitelee 🏡

Today we say goodbye to one set of guests and welcome another.

A huge thank you to everyone departing this morning. We hope you've enjoyed your stay, made some wonderful memories and had the chance to experience everything that makes Northumberland so special.

This afternoon, our next guests arrive and we can't wait to welcome them. The cottages are being prepared, the beds are freshly made and everything is ready for another week of relaxation, adventure and countryside tranquillity.

✨ The Weekend is Calling ✨

There's something special about a Friday afternoon.

The working week is almost done, plans are taking shape and thoughts begin to drift towards relaxing, exploring and spending time with the people who matter most.

For our guests arriving soon, we're looking forward to welcoming you to Whitelee and helping you enjoy a peaceful Northumberland escape.

✨ Have You Seen Our Dark Skies? ✨

One of the things our guests love most about staying at Whitelee is what happens after the sun goes down.

Far away from the bright lights of towns and cities, our corner of Northumberland offers wonderfully dark skies, perfect for stargazing on a clear evening. 🌙✨

There's something truly magical about stepping outside your cottage, looking up and seeing thousands of stars stretching across the night sky.

Whether you're an experienced astronomer or simply enjoy spotting a constellation or two, the peace and tranquillity of an evening under the stars is an experience not easily forgotten.

A brand new month has arrived and with it comes longer days, greener landscapes and plenty of opportunities to escape to the Northumberland countryside.

Here at Whitelee, June is one of our favourite months. The wildflowers are blooming, the woodland walks are looking their best and the evenings seem to stretch on forever.

Then why not join a free guided walk on Tuesday 9 June with Martens on the Move Project Officer, Victoria Chanin from Vincent Wildlife Trust, to discover more about this elegant and elusive species?
This gentle 1.5 mile walk through West Wood will introduce you to the species and you’ll discover more about the habitats these fascinating animals rely on and learn why pine martens play such an important role in a healthy, biodiverse woodland.
The walks, on Tuesday 9 June at 11am and 2pm, are part of Great Big Green Week.

'You may have missed our Walk to Wellbeing at Hareshaw Linn but don't despair you can enjoy this peaceful walk in this ancient woodland, home to many rare species of moss and lichens, on your own.
As it's and we are celebrating 70 years of Northumberland National Park with our own 70th Anniversary Walking Festival.
This is a moderate walk of around 3 miles (5km) with an ascent of 348ft. It's dog friendly and has much historic interest and geological highlights.

It’s Saturday, which means one group of guests is packing up memories while another is getting ready to begin their Northumberland adventure 🏡💚

To our departing guests, thank you for choosing Whitelee for your getaway. We hope you've enjoyed peaceful mornings, beautiful countryside views, local discoveries and a chance to truly switch off. Safe travels home, and we hope to welcome you back again soon.

Meanwhile, our cottages are being prepared and made ready for this afternoon’s arrivals. We can't wait to welcome new guests to Oak, Rowan and Birch Cottage and help them settle into a relaxing week in the heart of Northumberland National Park.

Whether you're here for walking, wildlife, dark skies, or simply some well-earned rest and relaxation, we hope Whitelee feels like your home from home.
