Stow-on-the-Wold is a leading Cotswolds destination, known for the iconic, fairytale, Tolkien-esque yew tree door at St Edward's Church, the historic market square and the wonderful charm of the buildings and numerous cozy tearooms and shops.

16th century houses surrounding the market square are home to shops, antique stores and galleries. The town is full of trading history - with the market square holding markets since 1107. Wool trade was high making it a popular destination to gather and exchange.

Visit the Porch House, said to be the oldest inn in England, dating back to the 10th century and enjoy a meal and drink.

The Stow civi society run walking tours every sunday in the summer if you want to learn more about the history of Stow-on-the-Wold.
