Woke up to the soft sound of the sea and the sunrise in Kefalonia, after sleeping with the suite door open to the ocean air.

We disembarked early to see the loggerhead turtles that visit the bay in Argostoli, then spent the morning wandering the beautiful waterfront and charming streets.

Back on board, I soaked up a lazy afternoon at sea while Dave headed off to play pickleball – the perfect balance of adventure and pure relaxation on our Greek Islands cruise.

Today we docked in Dubrovnik and I finally experienced a firm favourite with so many of my customers. My first time here, and I completely understand the love now.

We spent the day
• Walking the ancient city walls, soaking up those sweeping views over the terracotta rooftops and shimmering Adriatic
• Exploring the fort, picturing all the history (and a few famous film scenes) that have unfolded here
• Wandering the narrow streets of the Old Town, discovering hidden squares, little cafés and stunning viewpoints at every turn.

What many people do not realise is that you can stay on the coast here and really mix things up. Enjoy lazy beach days on those gorgeous little pebble and sandy stretches, then be wandering the Old Town walls and fort by late afternoon. It is the perfect blend of city and sea, and you can even build in some island hopping as part of a longer Croatia itinerary, with Dubrovnik as a highlight.

Yesterday we stepped on board the stunning Crystal Serenity, and from the moment we arrived it felt truly special. Check in and boarding were seamless, relaxed and so well organised, setting the tone for the incredible journey ahead.

Once we were on board, we were greeted with ch*****ne and a few appetisers, and had a lovely meal in the Waterside restaurant. We then watched a little preview of the entertainment to come over the next week, before rounding off the night in the Jubilee Saloon with the pianist.

Today was a stop in Trieste, a charming little port north of Venice, where some of the other cruise lines sail from. I am really looking forward to seeing what Trieste has to offer before we continue our journey further south.

Hidden-side-of-the-Great-Wall magic ✨

My lovely clients really wanted to experience the Great Wall of China, but without the crowds and queues you see in so many photos.
By working closely with my trusted local partners, I arranged a private driver to take them around 2.5 hours out of the city to a far quieter section of the Wall. As you can see from their photos, they almost had it to themselves: space to wander, time to soak up the views and a truly unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Out of office on, holiday mode activated!

We’ve begun our trip via the private Aether terminal: a separate, VIP-style terminal where you arrive, relax in a tranquil lounge, clear security discreetly and are escorted to your flight. It’s designed to take away the stress and queues of the main airport, so the holiday really starts the moment you arrive at the terminal.

While I’m away I’ll still be quietly monitoring any urgent issues for existing bookings, but for everything else I’ll respond once I’m back.
