These are three destinations I’d have high on my list, but for completely different reasons.

🇲🇺 Mauritius if you’re looking for something a little more luxurious, with beautiful beaches and plenty for the family to experience outside the resort.

🌷🇳🇱Amsterdam by cruise 🚢

We’ve just come back from a 5-day cruise with an overnight stay in Amsterdam, and I honestly think you get the best of both worlds with a cruise like this, a city break and a cruise all in one.

We had a deluxe balcony cabin which was definitely a highlight. Watching the ship sail into Amsterdam and seeing the city come into view in your own private area to enjoy.

Amsterdam is literally built around water. Large parts of the city were once marshy, low-lying land, so the canals were created to help manage the water, drain the land and also make it easier to move people and goods around the growing city. The famous 17th-century canal ring is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

And the bikes… 🤭I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever seen so many in one place. Amsterdam has around 895,000 bikes and cycling is very much a way of life here. They also go FAST, so definitely look both ways before stepping anywhere! 😂

I’d also say a short cruise like this is a brilliant way to try cruising if you’ve never done it before. I met so many people onboard who were cruising for the first time, including James!

Currently out of office, spending the next few days cruising with my favourite person and celebrating my birthday 🛳️❤️

I’ll still be keeping an eye on things, but replies may be a little slower than usual while I enjoy some much-needed time away.
