I'm pleased to say that at long last I am now officially a Winter Mountain Leader. Thanks to our assessor's Giles, Mike all the staff Glenmore Lodge and my awesome group of fellow assessee's. We encountered some pretty honest winter conditions during the week despite which we all came away with a pass. Well done all β›„πŸ‘πŸ‘. Thanks to .taylor_ for the all the pics πŸ‘Œ

The top of the north ridge is largely stripped of snow now, but the ice tools and crampons proved useful on the partially frozen turf close to the summit.

Back on Quinag again yesterday, this time with Mark. What a difference five days makes. Took the winter kit out for its first airing this season. No routes completed this time, but fun to be out in the white stuff again β›„

Sneaked out for a climb/scramble up Sail Garbh's east buttress with Mark yesterday morning. Possibly the best bit of Quinag, although that's quite a bold statement? In the spirit of halloween, someone got board whilst hanging around (Mark was off belay I should emphasise).
