New life for old phone boxes

A Big Thank You to Robert – Our Phonebox Hero!
Salcombe would like to give a huge shoutout and heartfelt thanks to Robert Pammen for lovingly refurbishing our beloved old BT phoneboxes.

Once faded and forgotten, these classic red icons have been given a fresh lease of life thanks to Robert’s hard work, creativity and a whole lot of elbow grease. Now gleaming with pride, Robert’s transformation of these local landmarks at Beadon Cross, Batson Creek and North Sands has brought a splash of color and a dash of nostalgia back to our streets. They are a true testament to what one person with a vision can do.

So next time you stroll past one of our newly polished phoneboxes, give it a nod — and maybe give Robert a high five if you see him around.
