The final week of the summer has begun in Atsitsa 💙

And here are some of the wonderful people who make it all happen behind the scenes.

Last evening in Atsitsa…

Julie Norburn’s Mindful Mosaics exhibition, drinks together as the sun goes down, and cabaret still to come.

Tomorrow we say goodbye to this week’s guests and welcome a new group to the bay. Summer is still very much happening here. ☀️🌊

Rachel has been creating this beautiful piece in Julie Norburn's Mindful Mosaics course at Atsitsa Bay.

She describes it as inspired by “all things Atsitsa – blue sky, sea and free spirit dancing.”

We think she’s captured the spirit of the place rather wonderfully. 💙

What gets you into a flow state?

In this short clip from Atsitsa Bay, yoga teacher Kylie Hennessy talks about that feeling of becoming completely absorbed in what we’re doing – so focused and present that everything else seems to fall away.

Kylie connects this with samadhi in the yoga tradition, and shares the wonderfully accessible idea that “anything that interests the mind” can help bring us into that state of yoga.

So it might happen while painting, gardening, writing, swimming, making music – or simply doing something you love.

What gets you into that state of flow?

Meet the Atsitsa team ☀️

A new holiday has just begun in Atsitsa Bay, with this lovely group of facilitators bringing everything from salsa dance, kayaking and SUP yoga to mindful mosaics, music and singing, improvisation for creativity, T’ai Chi and writing from life.

Two hours, five bags of plastic waste – and a wonderful team effort.

Led by our kayaking facilitator Alexandra Massey, a large group of Atsitsa participants headed out by kayak for a sea clean, snorkelling along the coastline and collecting plastic from the water and shore.

There were even more volunteers than you can see here, all giving their time to help protect this beautiful part of Skyros island.

A huge thank you to Alex and everyone who joined in. 💙🌊

Meet this fortnight's Atsitsa team ☀️

From left: Ken, Jet, Nick, Dina, Alex, Jo, Sarah and Michael.

Between them, they’re offering a wonderfully varied week of yoga, photography, writing, personal development, kayaking, dance, singing and sketching – all alongside swimming in the bay, shared meals and life beneath the pines.

There are now just six weeks of Atsitsa holidays remaining this summer, including both one-week holidays and fortnights.

A helpful reminder when browsing the programme: some holidays shown as fortnights can also be booked as one week only. Meet the team in Atsitsa this week ☀️

Another wonderful group of facilitators has gathered at Atsitsa Bay, with a week of screenwriting, yoga, singing and guitar, sketching and watercolour, 5-Rhythms dance, comedy improvisation, kayaking, swimming and abseiling.

This week we’re joined by Tiana Harper, Ken Eyerman, Phil Saatchi, Michael Gahagan, Jo Hardy, Monica Gaga, Mary French and Sam Shelley.

And a special mention for Rich Watkins, who is also with the team this week, creating fun activities for the children throughout their stay.

A lovely team, a beautiful setting – and so much to choose from. 💙

The last full day of this fortnight in Atsitsa – and the evening is just beginning.

Rich and Carli are welcoming everyone with drinks, while Emily, Sakkarah and Anna are ready behind the art table for tonight’s exhibition.

There are beautiful mosaics created during Roz’s course on display, and Takis is preparing the barbecue overlooking the bay.

A celebration of everything that has been shared and created over the past two weeks – art, friendship, laughter and life together in Atsitsa. ☀️🎨🌿
