A Foodie Tour of the USA
Some of the best USA memories are served on a plate.

Food can tell you just as much about a destination as its landmarks - from Creole flavours in Louisiana and smoky Texas barbecue to California w**e country and fresh seafood on the Pacific Northwest coast.

And you don’t have to be a serious foodie to build a holiday around it. A great restaurant, local market, w**ery, brewery or classic roadside stop can become one of the highlights of a USA itinerary.

🎷 New Orleans - Creole, Cajun & Cocktails:
Why foodies love it: New Orleans is one of those cities where food is part of the experience from morning until night. Think beignets and café au lait, po'boys, gumbo, jambalaya and fresh Gulf seafood - all alongside a legendary cocktail scene. It’s also a city where food and music naturally go together. Clients can spend the day exploring the French Quarter, stop for something delicious and finish the evening with live jazz.

Best for: Foodies, couples, music lovers & clients wanting a city with plenty of personality.
Make it bigger: Combine with Memphis and Nashville for a Deep South adventure packed with music, food and culture.

🦀 Seattle - Seafood & Market Finds:
Why foodies love it: Fresh Pacific seafood, coffee culture, craft breweries and one of America's most famous public markets give Seattle plenty for clients to get stuck into. Pike Place Market is an obvious starting point, but encourage clients to explore beyond it too. Neighbourhood restaurants, bakeries, breweries and waterfront dining make Seattle a great choice for anyone who likes discovering a city through its food.

Best for: Foodies, city-break clients, seafood lovers & craft b**r fans.
Make it bigger: Pair Seattle with a Pacific Northwest road trip or Alaska cruise.

🍷 Napa Valley - W**e Country Done Properly:
Why foodies love it: Just beyond San Francisco, Napa Valley swaps skyscrapers for vineyards, tasting rooms and some seriously good food. It’s an easy way to add a slower, more indulgent few days to a California itinerary. W**e may be the headline, but farm-to-table dining, local produce and beautiful scenery make the whole region part of the experience.

Best for: Couples, w**e lovers, honeymooners & special occasions.
Make it bigger: Start in San Francisco, continue into Napa and then head towards the California coast.

🌮 San Antonio - A Taste of Texas:
Why foodies love it: There’s much more to Texas food than barbecue. San Antonio brings together Tex-Mex favourites, Mexican heritage and contemporary cooking, with tacos, enchiladas and local specialities all firmly on the menu. Clients can eat their way around the city between visits to the Alamo and River Walk, before heading out to discover more of the Texas Hill Country.

Best for: Foodies, culture lovers & repeat USA visitors looking beyond the usual city break.
Make it bigger: Add Austin for live music, barbecue and another helping of Texas flavour.

🍖 Kansas City - Serious About Barbecue:
Why foodies love it: For clients who think they know American barbecue, send them to Kansas City, Missouri. Slow-smoked meats, rich sauces and no shortage of fiercely loved barbecue joints make eating here part of the sightseeing. But don't stop at barbecue. Markets, breweries and an increasingly varied restaurant scene mean there’s plenty more to discover between meals.

Best for: Barbecue fans, groups & clients looking for a less obvious US city experience.
Make it bigger: Kansas City works brilliantly as part of a Midwest road trip.

🇬🇷💙 MORE THAN ONE ISLAND? WHY NOT?
Sometimes one week in Greece simply isn’t enough…

One of the things I love about planning holidays is being able to combine different places into one trip — a few nights in Corfu Town before heading to a villa, island-hopping between Kefalonia and Ithaca, or pairing Lefkas with a few days on Meganissi. 🌊

You could explore the contrasting sides of North and South Corfu, discover more of Kefalonia, or take the ferry across to beautiful Ithaca.

And if you fancy seeing a little more of the Sporades, Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos can be combined too. 🌿

It doesn’t have to be all about islands, either. Add a few nights in Athens, explore the mainland by car, or venture into Epirus for mountains, villages and some of the less-visited corners of Greece.
The beauty of a tailor-made holiday is that you decide the pace, the places and how you want to spend your time — and I can help put it all together.

Because sometimes the best Greek holiday is the one that lets you see a little more. 💙

The most underrated cities in Europe to visit instead (Part 2)

If you like Stockholm, you'll love Gothenburg
If you love Stockholm for its island setting, elegant architecture and mix of history and modern Scandinavian design, Gothenburg offers a more relaxed west coast perspective on Sweden. Here, leafy boulevards and scenic canals lead towards a lively harbour, where local markets, waterfront restaurants and some of the country’s best seafood reflect a strong connection to the sea.

With easy access to the southern archipelago and a laid-back atmosphere shaped by café culture, coastal views and neighbourhood charm, Gothenburg offers a more leisurely take on Swedish city life while still delivering culture, creativity and waterfront beauty.

Why you'll love Gothenburg
Known for its outstanding seafood scene, from informal harbour-side eateries to refined waterfront restaurants, the city is also home to bustling fish markets like Feskekôrka, where the catch of the day sets the tone for local dining. Cafés line leafy streets and canals, while food festivals and seasonal produce highlight the region’s strong culinary identity, making Gothenburg a destination where exploring the city often means eating your way through it, one neighbourhood at a time.

If you like Tromsø, you’ll love Trondheim
Viking history, Arctic landscapes and a colourful city hidden from crowds
If you love Tromsø for its Arctic landscapes, seasonal extremes and sense of adventure above the Arctic Circle, Trondheim offers a different but equally atmospheric side of Norway, where Viking history, colourful riverside streets and a more settled northern pace replace the dramatic wilderness with culture, heritage and everyday life.

Once Norway’s ancient capital, the city is anchored by the striking Nidaros Cathedral and lined with traditional wooden buildings, while its reputation as the country’s gastronomic capital brings exceptional local seafood, produce-driven dining and lively waterfront food markets into focus.

Why you'll love Trondheim
Trondheim is a city of historic fjord-side streets and a lively, modern centre, where wide pedestrianised avenues are lined with cafés, restaurants and bars. Increasingly recognised as Norway’s foodie capital, it has a thriving culinary scene, from Michelin-starred restaurants to innovative coffee shops and local microbreweries that reflect its creative energy. At its heart stands the vast Nidaros Cathedral, Scandinavia’s largest medieval building, while nearby museums, galleries, the Archbishop’s Palace and Stiftsgården, the oldest wooden palace in Scandinavia, bring the city’s rich heritage to life.

🇬🇷 ‘HANDCRAFTED HOLIDAYS TO LESSER-KNOWN PLACES’... THIS IS WHAT WE MEAN.🇬🇷

While Santorini and Mykonos often steal the spotlight, Milos is one of the Cyclades’ true hidden gems—and a destination we’ve been proudly introducing our clients to for many years.🩵

Born from volcanic activity, Milos is an island of extraordinary landscapes. Discover more than 70 beaches, from sweeping bays and hidden coves to the otherworldly white rock formations of Sarakiniko, where the lunar-like scenery meets crystal-clear Aegean waters.🌊

Wander the cobbled streets of Plaka, climb to the Venetian castle for one of Greece’s most spectacular sunsets, explore ancient catacombs and Roman remains, or enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and exceptional waterfront tavernas of Pollonia.☀️

Boat trips reveal secluded beaches, colourful sea caves and the neighbouring islands of Kimolos and Polyegos, while ancient footpaths lead to some of the island’s most peaceful corners.✨

This is the Greece we love to share—authentic, unspoilt and full of character 🇬🇷

▪️Call or message me to start planning your handcrafted holiday to Milos.
