🌅 All good things must come to an end... 🌴

For our final morning, we were up bright and early for a swim in the Gulf and to watch the sunrise. The sea was already a balmy 29°C at 6am so who could resist that. 🌊

Afterwards, we took a short stroll to a local coffee shop for an orange vanilla iced latte ☕🍊 before enjoying breakfast and getting ourselves set for the day.

Our final hotel tour brought us to the fairytale-like pink palace that is The Don CeSar. 🩷🏰 Opened in 1928 during the height of the Jazz Age, the iconic hotel was built by developer Thomas Rowe as a tribute to his lost love and quickly became a playground for the rich and famous. Known as "The Pink Palace", it has welcomed celebrities, politicians and sporting legends over the decades, served as a military hospital during World War II, and today remains one of Florida's most recognisable landmarks.

We were treated to a delicious lunch 🍽️, enjoyed some final time on the beautiful beach 🏖️, and then headed back to freshen up before making our way to the airport for our flight home. ✈️

What an incredible trip it has been – the knowledge gained, meeting some wonderful people, participating in unforgettable experiences, and memories that will last a lifetime. ☀️🌴✈️

🐬🥰 The best day🐬🥰

🌞 Day 4 🌞

Breakfast at Opal Sands kicked off another incredible day, followed by a hotel tour and a short walk across to Opal Sol. From there, it was off to the marina to hop aboard the Little Toot dolphin cruise—and what a fabulous experience it was! 🚤🐬🌊 (Be sure to watch the video on the next post!)

Lunch followed at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach, along with a tour of the property, before heading over to the beautiful JW Marriott for another hotel inspection and some well-earned cocktails 🍹✨.

After a quick turnaround, we were back out again for a surprise visit to Shattered Glass, where we got to create our own unique memento of the trip. Such a fun experience and a great way to escape the Florida heat for a while 🎨✨💙.

A special mention has to go to our fantastic tour leader, who managed to arrange a last-minute hotel inspection at the newly opened The Luce, St. Pete Beach 🌴. We were actually the very first agents to be shown around this exciting new property, and it certainly didn't disappoint!

Now part of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio, The Luce has been beautifully transformed following severe hurricane damage to the original hotel in 2024. The result is a stunning beachfront retreat that blends modern luxury with laid-back coastal charm ✨🏖️.

We wrapped up the day back at our hotel with a beachfront dinner at Coconut Charlie's Beach Bar & Grille —the perfect ending to another unforgettable day.

Day 3 began with an early morning walk along St. Pete Pier, where we were treated to another breathtaking Florida sunrise 🌅.

After breakfast, we checked out of the hotel and headed to one of St. Petersburg’s most iconic attractions—the Dali Museum 🎨.

Walking through the galleries, we were immersed in Salvador Dalí’s surreal world of melting clocks, dreamlike landscapes, and thought-provoking masterpieces. Each piece seemed to tell a story, inviting us to look closer and discover hidden details within the artwork. The museum offered not only an appreciation for Dalí’s genius but also a deeper understanding of the creativity and imagination that made him one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.

After lunch at the museum, we traded art for adventure and made our way to Shell Key Preserve for a kayaking excursion with Get Up and Go Kayaking 🚣‍♀️.

Paddling through the calm, crystal-clear waters felt like entering another world. Surrounded by untouched natural beauty, we glided past mangrove islands, sandy shorelines, and pristine coastal habitats. The peaceful setting allowed us to slow down and take in the sights and sounds of nature while keeping an eye out for local wildlife. One of the highlights was spotting three young manatees swimming nearby 🦭💙! It was the perfect blend of relaxation and exploration, and an experience that truly showcased the beauty of Florida’s Gulf Coast.

After returning from our adventure, we headed for the Hilton Garden Inn to freshen up before visiting the Island Grand at TradeWinds for a property tour and dinner. 🍽️.

As the day came to a close, we reflected on the perfect mix of culture, adventure, and coastal beauty.

Another incredible day filled with unforgettable moments, new discoveries, and memories that will last a lifetime ✨

🌴☀️ Day 2 in St. Pete & Clearwater – and what an incredible day it was! 🇺🇸✨

Jet lag is definitely a thing! Up before sunrise, a few of us headed down to St. Pete Pier to catch the first light of the day, and it was absolutely worth the early start. 🌅

Watching the sun rise was the perfect way to begin the day, followed by a well-earned coffee at the beautiful Vinoy Resort.

After breakfast at our hotel, we spent the morning exploring the stunning Chihuly Collection. 🎨💙 Home to the extraordinary glass artwork of renowned artist Dale Chihuly, the collection features breathtaking sculptures, vibrant installations, and intricate creations that seem to defy gravity. The colours, shapes, and craftsmanship were simply mesmerising, making for a truly unforgettable experience.

Back to the Vinoy Resort & Golf Club Autograph Collection for our first hotel inspection of the trip. 🏨🌴 Overlooking the Vinoy Yacht basin , this historic pink landmark has been welcoming guests since 1925, seamlessly blending timeless elegance with modern luxury. From its waterfront location and championship golf course to its marina, spa, and beautifully appointed guest rooms, it’s easy to understand why it remains one of St. Pete’s most celebrated resorts.

A short walk along the waterfront brought us to Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille for lunch. 🍤🍹 Famous for its fresh seafood, tropical flavours, and laid-back Florida atmosphere, it was the perfect spot to relax and recharge before an afternoon of exploring.

Next, we visited the EDGE District, one of St. Pete’s most vibrant and creative neighbourhoods. 🎨☕

Known for its colourful murals, many created during the annual SHINE Mural Festival, the area feels like a giant open-air art gallery. Around every corner we discovered another impressive piece of artwork, alongside independent boutiques, cafés, and local businesses. And of course, no afternoon would be complete on a warm day without an ice-cream.

The creativity continued at The Candle Pour. 🕯️✨ This fun, hands-on experience allowed us to create our own custom candles, choosing from an extensive range of fragrances to design something completely unique. A fantastic activity and a lovely keepsake to take home.

We then enjoyed a VIP tour and tasting at St. Petersburg Distillery. 🥃🍊 Learning about their small-batch craft spirits and locally sourced Florida ingredients was fascinating, and sampling some of their award-winning products made the experience even better.

Dinner was at Juno & The Peacock, 🍽️✨ a stylish downtown restaurant renowned for its Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, elegant setting, and creative menu showcasing fresh local ingredients.

From world-class art and luxury resorts to local flavours, creative experiences, and rooftop sunsets, St. Pete continues to impress at every turn. 🌴☀️💙

Day 1

🌴☀️ Touchdown in Florida! 🇺🇸✈️

After landing in Tampa, I used the Mobile Passport Control app, and what a great time-saver it was! 📱✅ The free app allows eligible travellers to submit their passport and customs information before arriving, helping you move through passport control much more quickly. Definitely worth downloading before you travel if you're heading to the USA.

From the airport, it was off to our home for the next few nights, the AC Hotel Downtown St. Petersburg.

🏨✨ Located in the heart of downtown, it's perfectly placed for exploring the city's vibrant waterfront, restaurants, shops and attractions, with stylish modern rooms and fantastic city views.

After a quick freshen-up, there was only one thing on the agenda... food! 🍽️😋

We headed to Teak on the Pier, located at the end of the iconic St. Pete Pier. 🌊🌴 With beautiful waterfront views across Tampa Bay, a relaxed atmosphere and a menu packed with fresh seafood and American favourites, it was the perfect spot for our first Florida dinner.

A fantastic start to the trip, and this is only day one! ☀️🌴🍹
