WANTED Housekeeper/Cleaner for Stationmaster's Lodge
We are searching for the right person to help look after our very special 8-bedroom holiday house on the [southern] shores of Loch Carron at Stromeferry
The live-in role involves cleaning all levels of the house (three floors, including bathrooms, kitchen and toilets) and undertaking (or highlighting) ongoing maintenance duties as required. You must be fit, capable and flexible, with previous hospitality/cleaning experience, have an excellent attention to detail and a love of the Highlands that you are prepared to share with guests.
You will clean the house and prepare beds on changeover days [sometimes same day turnaround], always ensuring the house is in tip-top condition for our holiday guests. A can-do attitude and the ability to problem solve are vital. You will be required to greet guests, have to address maintenance issues during their stay and could be approached for local advice and insights, so a sunny disposition and good communication skills will stand you in good stead.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to get away from it all and live quietly in a remote and stunning Highland location. Perhaps you are a writer, musician, hillwalker, paddler or photographer, or just someone with a love of the outdoors?
A driving license and own car are essential as this is a fairly remote area with no immediate village shop or amenities (although there is a train station in the village, Stromeferry).
Accommodation is provided:
private one-bedroom flat with small kitchen.
Council tax, electricity and broadband also included
Salary: £185 per week based on 14 hours work
