‘They come in 3s’ and in just 7 days, I have had calls regarding cancellations of clients’ holidays!
The summer heatwave in Europe has caused river levels to dry up leading to cancellations of river cruises. I have been supporting my clients with monitoring the situation prior to their departure and then speaking to suppliers once cancellation was confirmed. This is dealing with alternative options or getting full refunds and communicating with all parties involved - so the clients can rest assured all is being taken care of.
The second message was from a client who booked their own flight and accommodation to Lapland. Baltic airline cancelled their flights and their hotel was non-refundable so not covered as a package. The client asked if I could help source flights to save the money already spent on accommodation or risk a loss. Using my knowledge of Lapland and flight availability meant my client was able to rebook new flights.
The third was a multi-family holiday cancelled, while the clients were already at the airport, due to Mt Etna’s eruption! Their flights, transfers and hotel will be fully refunded as I submit this with the operator. The clients had disappointed children to focus on, without the stress of spending time on the phone or submitting documents for their refunds, because I handled the process.

「不幸嘅事總係接二連三」——短短 7 日之內，我已經收到幾位客人嘅行程取消通知！
歐洲嘅熱浪導致河流水位下降，令河船航次要取消。我一直幫緊客人喺出發前密切監察情況，到確認取消後再同供應商溝通，處理換團選項、安排全數退款，以及同各方協調，等客人可以放心，知道所有事情都有人跟緊。
