💖 A HUGE shout-out to some absolute superstars! 💖
Sometimes, being a Travel Counsellor means dealing with situations that are far from straightforward, and this weekend was certainly one of those occasions!
My customers should have been on their way to Orlando on Saturday morning, but after their flight was delayed by 4 hours, meaning they missed their connection, the flight was delayed again… so we transferred them to a new flight and that one was eventually cancelled 😢. What followed was a stressful and exhausting experience, with my customers having to spend the night in a Manchester hotel before making their way down to Gatwick on Sunday morning to catch an alternative flight. ✈️
Throughout it all, I had some incredible support from our amazing Duty Office team, who were there to help, advise and support me as I worked through the situation with my customers.
Some of these wonderful colleagues stayed with me, helping to navigate the situation, until well past midnight on Saturday night. That kind of dedication, teamwork and genuine care deserves to be recognised. ❤️
When things go wrong, having people in your corner who understand, support you and help you find a way forward makes an enormous difference and that's not just to us as Travel Counsellors, but ultimately to the customers who are relying on us.
So, to everyone in the Duty Office who helped me this weekend, THANK YOU! 🥰
Your time, patience, support and willingness to go the extra mile did not go unnoticed, and I am incredibly grateful to have you in my corner.
