Zephyr Charters Zephyr is a 32ft offshore charter vessel based out of St Mawes Harbour, in Cornwall UK. Zephyr is licensed to carry 10 passengers plus 2 crew members.

Located in St Mawes Harbour in Cornwall, Zephyr Charters is a 32ft offshore charter powered by a 420hp V8 Caterpillar engine, capable of getting us to the grounds quickly and smoothly giving plenty of time for a days fishing. The facilities onboard include, plenty of tea and coffee free of charge, a twin gas hob, sink & fully flushable toliet, all the latest electronic equipment including radar, R

aymarine fish finder and chart plotter, GPS & VHF radio. Zephyr is kitted out with all new Penn rods and reels, which are £5pp to hire for the day. Zephyr is MCA compliant with all health and safety equipment onboard. Types of fishing included:

Offshore game fishing trips
Blue shark and porbeagle fishing
Offshore wreck and reef fishing
Inshore mixed species fishing
Sea life safari tours- Observing whales, sharks, dolphins, seals, seabirds and potentially walrus! Also available for survey/ support boat hire

Zephyr is owned & skippered by Lewis Annear a local, enthusiastic fisherman. Lewis is qualified and insured to take passengers 20 miles from the nearest safe haven day and night. Heres a few from this week. Its been carnage out there, fish are hot and on the chew. Plenty of fish seen boat side, and all a great stamp. All fish ranging between 74in and 88in. We had an interesting experience live baiting for tuna accidentally hooking a thresher shark but unfortunately he bit us off. Great experience. In between weather weve been heading up the river for bullhuss and bass..

This weekend off to recharge and spend some much needed time with the family. Were out Monday and Tuesday for sharks and tuna, in Wednesday to rebuild equipment and fuel up and then game face on for the tuna comp starting Thursday 🦾👀🤘

BIG OL’ BLIND STRIKE — BLUEDAWGGGG 💥🦈

Just the one for solo angler Rob Malcolm… and that’s all he needed. 🦾👀💨

We watched this thing absolutely DETONATE on the back bar and instantly it was carnage. I set the drag and this fish just would not slow down.

Multiple full-power runs followed, with line absolutely ripping off the reel, an epic fight unfolded. Rob finally got the top swivel to me and I handled the leader.

But it wasn’t over…

Just when we thought we were getting somewhere, this lunatic kicked off again and went absolutely ballistic across the surface, screaming away for another 150m at top speed.

From the initial strike to finally getting him boat-side, the whole battle lasted an hour and a half, taking us over 2 miles from where he first hit.

Eventually, after everything this fish had thrown at us, he finally came boat-side and Boga Belch got him secured.

You don’t come across many fish that can put that sort of fight together. We’ve caught bigger fish that haven’t accounted for themselves half as well as this one did.

An absolute savage of a fish. 🦾💨🎣
