The rangers are continuing their programme of free summer holiday events with some craft activities and outdoor fun at the visitor centre this week.

Tomorrow (Thursday 20th August) is Pirate day! Fancy dress is strongly encouraged as we head out exploring for treasure. If you can complete the trail and decipher the pirate code word then you'll get the chance to take a selfie with the pirate treasure box. We've also got a 'walk the plank' challenge and a chance to make your own treasure chest. All activities will be available at the Northam Burrows visitor centre between 2pm and 4pm.

If you look carefully you can see the outline of the Rock Pool (it's a sea water pool on Westward Ho! Beach). We are pushing the local council for an accessible scheme so it's available for all to use. Damaging the rock underneath is the main concern of (despite more damage being done by bottom trawlers which are legal?!?). The rock pool is a valuable asset for those who need a safer area to swim #

Join the Northam Burrows rangers for a summer of fun!

We've got family friendly events every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon throughout the school holidays. Activities run from 2pm to 4pm and children must be accompanied by an adult.

There will also be a fantastical fairy trail - the magical creatures of Northam Burrows are heading to the coast for their summer holidays... can you spot all of their camp sites and holiday homes?! Pick up a free map from the visitor centre, and see what you can discover (from Thurs 23rd July to Sun 6th September).

We currently only take Air BnB and VRBO bookings for a minimum of 4 nights so we can keep the nightly rate competitive. If you are looking for a shorter break we won't show up in the available listings on those platforms. However, we are offering a 10% discount on short notice bookings for June and July both on the booking platforms and for private bookings.
