Here at Baytown Holiday Cottages there’s no charge to bring your best canine pal(s). Most other stays charge a minimum of £25 upwards per dog. If you’re bringing 2 that’s £50 more in your back pocket and £50 more in the Holiday Spending Pot.

🐬 Yesterday in Whitby...

Always special to see the Dolphins putting on nature's display ✨

You don't need a boat trip to see them, they can regularly be seen from up on Westcliff (lots of benches to sit on). From the seawall and the beach when the tide is out. And from the piers, if you're brave enough walk along west pier extension you'll be in for an even closer view 👀

🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️ A VERY BIG THANK YOU FROM US...

As peak summer draws to a close and we head towards the slower, cosier days of autumn and winter, we wanted to take a moment to say something that perhaps doesn’t get said often enough…

THANK YOU.

To every guest who stayed with us this summer, whether it was your first Baytown booking or you’ve been coming back to us time and time again, you have helped make 2026 pretty incredible.

And honestly… when we look at what you’ve helped us achieve, we’re blown away:

* We started July at around 60% peak summer occupancy
* We finished the peak summer period at 78%
* August reached an incredible 82% occupancy
* The August Bank Holiday weekend hit 100% occupancy
* By the end of August, we’d matched 100% of our total 2025 bookings
* And we’ve now passed 820 bookings in just 8 months

That’s 820+ stays, weekends away, family adventures, dog-friendly escapes, celebrations, muddy boots, sandy feet, fish & chips and memories made in Robin Hood’s Bay.

And there’s something else we want to say…

THANK YOU TO OUR COTTAGE OWNERS

The wonderful owners who trust us with their homes and bookings are every bit as important to our story.

Without our guests and our cottage owners, there simply wouldn’t be a Baytown Holiday Cottages.

Together, you helped us reach our biggest-ever collection of 37 cottages this summer.

We’ve recently said a fond farewell to Primrose Cottage, but we’re certainly not resting on our laurels…
