Ecuador's Weather by region 🌧☀

Ecuador’s climate is best explained in terms of regions, as each has its own variations and best time to visit, as summarised below...

🏔Andean regions: The temperature does not fluctuate much month by month, so is less likely to determine when you choose to visit than the rainfall. This is lowest from May to September, with July and August the driest months of all, though rarely totally free of rain. In other months you can expect showers in the afternoons and evenings rather than constant rainfall throughout the day.

🌿The Oriente: Daytime temperature is fairly constant year-round at about 25°c in the eastern rainforest. You should expect rain at any time of year, peaking in July and August, and conditions are hot and humid all year. Birds can be seen on clay licks at most times of year apart from in July and August.

🐒The southern rainforest: The rainy season lasts from mid-March to mid-June and is best avoided, but other times of year are fine, with little variation in temperature, though you should always be prepared for rain and conditions are humid year-round.
