I love adventure holidays and have skied in the Rocky Mountains in Banff, dived with Great White sharks in South Africa, climbed a frozen water fall in Quebec, snowmobiled across the arctic circle in Finnish Lapland, been surrounded by elephants in Kenya, done mahout training on beautiful elephants at an elephant rescue camp in Thailand, been on husky dog sleds in Canada, witnessed the northern lights in Iceland, cruised Alaska, Florida, The River Nile, The River Yangtze, The River Danube and the beautiful Douro River. I had the pleasure of flying on Concorde, been on the Orient Express, the Glacier Express through Switzerland, slept on ice at the original Ice Hotel in Sweden and so much more. I have settled down a little more now and enjoy nothing more than a fabulous sea view and total chill out somewhere warm. I feel blessed and can't wait to plan your dream and adventure holidays. 💙 The Sky Lagoon. Easily accessible from the city centre or cruise port.
A taxi cost us £16 heading out there but around £30 coming back to the ship due to roadworks 🚧
🚏 🚌 There are also shuttle buses available much cheaper from the city centre terminal that run every hour. We only took a taxi as we were worried about time and having to get back to the ship.

The Sky Lagoon is a beautiful spa right on the sea shore. Its water is so warm and heated naturally from the earth.

🚿 We chose the Sen pass which includes private changing & shower facilities. There are other options

🇮🇸 Our first stop in Iceland was the beautiful town of Akureryi. I have the lovely people from my cruise group to thank for these as it was the day my hubby wasn’t well (cruise man flu) and I broke my rib 🫣 so we didn’t get chance to mooch much. I did however get to see the beautiful countryside when we went zip lining so a few lovely countryside pics in here too 📷

⛴️ Ship spot - we were in port next to the Ritz Carlton Super Yacht 😳

🇮🇸 Icelandic people are so lovely, chilled out and quite whimsical in their thoughts. The little wooden post is a Viking fox 🦊 to bring luck.
⛳️ The metal basket is a game called Frisbee golf. They basically fly frisbees from a platform with the aim of getting it into the basket 🤷🏻‍♀️ they do this from varying distances to compete
