The dogs always seem to know they’re on holiday before anyone else.

The second they jump out of the car it’s all wagging tails, muddy paws and excitement for what’s around the next corner.

With miles of countryside to explore, beautiful beaches nearby and cosy cottages waiting at the end of the day, Northumberland is pretty much a dog’s dream destination.

Now it’s somewhere families, friends and couples come to escape for a few days, but the history is still everywhere you look.

Bank holiday weekends just work better when the sun decides to show up ☀️🌿

The forecast’s looking pretty good for a while too, which means slow mornings outside, evening drinks in the sunshine and finally being able to properly enjoy the Northumberland countryside without five layers on.
