We ventured out for a lovely meal on Friday night to The Lord Nelson pub at Poppleton.

If you love Tapas then this is the place to go. Lots of delicious food in a lovely homely pub environment 🥰

I can tell you this will be A-maizing in a few weeks time 🌽

If you’re looking for a good day to entertain the children and adults alike then York Maze is the place to go.

The star of the show is the maze which always entertains but they also have the Crowmainia tractor rides and the unforgettable house of Cornfusion!
Pack a change of clothes for the kids as some of the attractions might be a little wet 💦

One thing though! Book before you go as they are limited to number per day 🎟️

Coffee shop, kitchen and gift store on site

*York maze is accessible to wheelchair users, however the viewing towers are only accessed by steps.

Owl watch is building up quite an audience at A Brecks Away.
This is a recording from last nights feeding. The tawny owl was waiting to be fed in the oak tree.
We also got a glimpse of the barn owl and then the fox appeared.

Sam has been mowing around the wildlife area and walkway around the 12 acre field today.
We have a pair of deer that have made themself quite at home in the long grass. 🥰🦌

I’m not sure what was filling the bucket up the quickest this morning, the rain or the tap! 😆

Fair to say the ducks were quite happy 🦆

Don’t let the rain put you off though, we have so much to do in and around York or you could just sit and read a book and take in the surroundings.
