Earlier this week, we were honoured to attend a preview of Villa Haw Par, a living cultural landmark in Hong Kong, set to open to the public later this year.
Villa Haw Par is a meeting of worlds. Chinese architecture meets a French fountain. Italian stained glass casts colour across rooms steeped in history. This Grade I historic building doesn’t feel like a collision of influences. It feels like a conversation.
Mr. Arthur de Villepin, Chairman of the Foundation for Art & Culture, said in his opening remarks:
“This house could not exist anywhere else because it is deeply rooted in Hong Kong’s identity. A place where tradition and modernity has never been an imposition, but in constant dialogue. Hong Kong has always been more than a meeting point between east and west; it’s a place of creation, a place of reinvention, of synthesis. Villa Haw Par aims to reflect that spirit.”
That resonates deeply with us. Our Foodie Tours celebrate that same dialogue. More than just food, we create spaces where cultures meet, stories are shared, and genuine connections happen. We are already exploring ways to weave this experience into our private tours, allowing our guests to continue that conversation beyond the table.
