This poor pygmy s***m whale washed ashore in Utila and sadly died. His necropsy revealed his only stomach content was a plastic bag that most certainly contributed to his death. This is why it is so important for visitors to our beautiful island to avoid single use plastics. That included plastic forks, plastic cups, plastic water bottles, and plastic bags including produce bags.
