Today was a full day under the blazing desert sun… We explored the ancient fortress of Masada, walked through the historic site of Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, and ended the day floating in the salty, healing waters of the Dead Sea!

What an incredible journey through history, faith, and adventure!

It’s never a bad day when it begins worshipping and sailing on the Sea of Galilee… Our Eagles’ Wings pastors started the day sailing these sacred waters, followed by powerful moments of teaching and fellowship in Capernaum - the town of Jesus, enjoying fish caught fresh from the sea, to visiting Magdala, where Jesus taught in synagogue, to connecting with our dear friends at Domus Galilaeae, it’s been a day full of God encounters.

These pastors lives are being transformed more and more each day and the presence of God is so tangible, here in the Land of the Bible.

With heavy hearts, we mourn the tragic loss of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, beloved members of our Eagles’ Wings Travel family, who were killed in a horrific antisemitic attack in D.C.
Yaron, the son of our cherished tour guide David Lischinsky, who led our February Pastors’ Trip with Eagles’ Wings and NHCLC, and his soon-to-be fiancée Sarah, were both devoted public servants at the Israeli Embassy, working passionately for peace and unity. They were planning their engagement in Jerusalem next week - a future now heartbreakingly cut short.

These photos capture David leading our February trip and a powerful moment of prayer over him by NHCLC’s CFO, Israel Bermudez, in the Upper Room.

Eagles’ Wings Travel stands with David, who walked with us through Israel and into our hearts, as he now walks through unimaginable grief.

Today is Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day.

On every tour we bring to Israel, we pause at Yad Vashem, the nation’s Holocaust memorial, to honor the six million lives lost and the stories of resilience that must never be forgotten.

He is risen! This weekend, we celebrated the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus and today, we stand in awe that we get to walk where it all happened. The Garden Tomb isn’t just a stop on our tour itinerary; it’s a doorway into the greatest story ever told.

Discovered in 1867 near Jerusalem’s Damascus Gate, the Garden Tomb gained prominence when General Charles Gordon identified a nearby rocky hill -resembling a skull and called “Skull Hill” or “Gordon’s Calvary” - as Golgotha, the site of the crucifixion.

Just across from it lies a rock-cut tomb in a quiet garden, beautifully aligning with John 19:41: “Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb...”
