This 2026, so lively with art, also marks Chihuly’s great return to Venice after 30 years.
Beyond the monumental installations visible along the Grand Canal, I loved discovering this more intimate side of his work inside Palazzo Loredan.
These beautiful pieces, reminding me of seashells and organic forms, were mesmerizing to watch. I kept capturing them from different angles, yet they constantly seemed to change, and the more I looked, the more I discovered new details.
These pieces were created by intentionally embracing gravity, distortion, and unpredictability instead of fighting against them. The glass bends, softens, and transforms naturally under its own weight.
Even if their origin is not Venice-related, to me they carry a connection with the city, and not only because of the material. The way they reflect light, their color, theme and the concept itself of surrendering to the elements, cannot but remind me of Venice.
