🍶 Timeless Charm in Hizen-Hama-juku, Saga 🍶
Step back in time at Hizen-Hama-juku (肥前浜宿), a historic townscape at the mouth of the Hamagawa River, believed to have flourished since the Muromachi era. Once a bustling post town on the Nagasaki Kaido Tara Route and a vibrant port on the Ariake Sea, its streets are lined with beautifully preserved thatched and tiled townhouses, as well as striking white-walled sake breweries.
✨ Where Tradition Lives On
Hamanaka-machi Hachihongi-juku—known as “Sake Brewery Street”—is famous for its Nihon-shu, crafted with the area’s pristine water, giving Hizen-Hama’s sake its signature smooth taste and refined aroma. 🍶✨
