If there is one country that gave me " massive " culture shock is Sierra Leone( Freetown).

Right from the air fare which is costly than some countries in Europe, airport looking like a small market in " Ahero"..
Meat is sold in basins/ buckets in an open market ( there is nothing like butcheries).
Any underlying illness is considered malaria or typhoid and you must end up " on drip" for cure..
Child labour and prostitution is rampant and very normal and girls as young as 12 years can easily hang out with 50+ year old grandpa's for a few Leone and you dare not try stopping them coz they will give you that " who the hell do you think you are kinda look" 😉 😜,

During burials the body is ferried slowly throughout the city and everyone is expected to stand still in respect for the dead * wuehh!..

They eat almost anything and everything eatable above planet earth eish.. this includes monkeys and 🐁 🪤 😄 🤣.. accompanied by greens( potato and cassava leaves).

It takes just a bag of rice , sugar and 20 litres of oil to be referred as " our in law " in Sierra Leone. In short this is enough dowry to enable you to take a " girl child home.
All in all it is a free city with lots of fun, very safe, ATMs are in open areas and you can easily move around with a sack of money without being mugged and you can walk to the beach in your bikini and smoke your w*Ed without being arrested by the police.
This people love parties and good life even though they are economically dilapidated but if you are looking for a " free country" it's definitely the place to be.
