Winter solstice 2025 ☀️ welcome winter 🤍 every second of this ceremony meant so much.

- from walking the beach at 5am to reach the sacred fire under a sky full of stars
- the silence and excitement of hundreds of people waiting for the sun to rise
- the songs, the words, the dances, the offerings that were shared so generously during the whole morning
- the love and joy that we could feel
- and. the beauty of nature and people present

I am infinitely grateful with the community and tradition for this path in union ☀️

The longest night is now behind us… May the light grow during the new season and enlighten our path!

Celebrating 21 years of the temazcal at Hoja Santa, with Irma Luz founder of the tradicional medicine school in Zipolite and the community of traditional healers and students.

What a gift to be able to learn from this tradition and amazing community from all over Mexico and accross borders.

In Teotitlan del Valle the tradition is to welcome the spirits at 3pm on november 1st and stay with them by the altar at home, visit family members altars and bring offering to share. Josefina and her family welcome us so warmly by their altar, we are infinitely grateful for this experience :)

Oaxaca stands as a living example for the world — reminding us that death is not an end, but a continuation of life through memory and spirit.
