Namibia Airports Company Limited under the leadership of CEO Bisey /Uirab, outlined its transformation over the past six years into a profitable organization through collaborative problem-solving. The company, through its Air Connect Namibia Project, has enhanced connectivity to and from Namibia, and achieved significant revenue growth.

NAC is now poised to embark on major infrastructure upgrades, including the addition of a third terminal at Hosea Kutako International Airport and enhancements at Walvis Bay and Luderitz airports to support anticipated oil and gas activity. Furthermore, efforts are underway to capitalise on Katima Mulilo's strategic tourism potential. These developments are supported by robust tourism growth figures, which continue to outpace international passenger growth rates.

More Johannesburg- Walvis Bay Connections

Airlink has officially launched two daily flights between Johannesburg and Walvis Bay, since 04 July 2025.

Departures from Johannesburg are at 10:20 and 14:05, while Walvis Bay flights leave at 13:40 and 17:25.

This route boosts access to Namibia’s coast, linking travellers to iconic destinations like Swakopmund, the Namib Desert, and the Namib-Naukluft Park, while also supporting port, energy, and logistics sectors.

DISCOVER ADDS TO WINDHOEK: German giant airline Discover Airlines launched a new route between Germany and Namibia with a Munich-Windhoek flight landing at HKIA on Wednesday, 2 April 2025. Discover Airlines will connect Munich and Windhoek on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays in addition to the daily flights between Frankfurt and Windhoek.
