Wrapping up a magical week of The Little Prince in Namibia.
On 14–15 August 2025, the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre and the French Embassy in Namibia had the joy of partnering with OYO Dance Company for two unforgettable nights of The Little Prince at the National Theatre of Namibia. With more than 60 performers on stage. We also hosted a Readathon of The Little Prince book and an additional performance for school going learners.
Thank you everyone who joined, our supporters and to each and every performer that made it magical.
A special thank you to Philippe Talavera for his incredible work and talent that brought it to life.

The Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) was inaugurated on July 30, 1991 in Windhoek, and is aimed at implementing the co-operation projects between France and Namibia, in the cultural and artistic fields.
Since its inauguration, the FNCC has developed many activities and initiatives. That is why the FNCC is now recognized as a key player in the Namibian cultural sphere by the local authorities as well as the population.
The FNCC supports both Namibian cultures & Francophone cultures through the organization of many different events such as concerts, exhibitions, lectures, workshops, fashion show, etc.
It also promotes the spreading of the French language.
Besides, the FNCC gives classes:
French: individual courses, classes for professionals of a specific field (ex: tourism, administration, trade), collective classes, preparation for the French international exams (DELF & DALF, HIGCSE, IGCSE)
Photography: both theoretical and practical aspects of photography.
The FNCC has a lot to offer with:
The FNCC cinema with 60 seats – fully equipped for films, slide screenings, conferences, etc.
The FNCC gallery with 200 m2 for exhibitions, shows, concerts, etc.
The FNCC meeting room with 15 seats.
