t’s been a little quiet here lately – but definitely not quiet out there 🇳🇦

First we were hiking around the Brandberg, and then we disappeared deep into the Kaokoveld. And when I say disappeared, I mean it quite literally: phone & data signal was more of a rumour than a reality up there. 😄 - you can really up your game ! 🛜📶

So, whether planned or not, we had a proper digital detox – brillant days on foot, dusty boots, wild camps, big landscapes, great food and company & plenty of stories collected along the way.

Now that we’re back in the land of Wi-Fi, we’ll spend the next few weeks sharing some moments from our recent Caminos and taking you along for the journey.

So for all our fellow hikers – and especially the armchair hikers among you – stay tuned. We’ve got a lot to show you from some very wild corners of Namibia. 🇳🇦👣

Tonight we’re sleeping in the 8 Million Star Hotel ✨

Our little camp at the foot of the Brandberg, surrounded by complete darkness, silence and one incredible Namibian night sky.

Hard to ask for a better room for the night. ❤️🇳🇦

Some moments don’t wait for the perfect camera setting.

A quick stop. Phone out. Sunset at Brandberg White Lady Lodge. Done.

Tomorrow we start walking — 7 days on foot around Namibia’s highest mountain. Roughly 120 km of desert, riverbeds, granite, early mornings and whatever the Brandberg decides to show us along the way.

For the next week, life gets beautifully simple: walk, eat, sleep, repeat.

And somewhere in between, there will be plenty more snapshots like this one. 📸

Through the lens… of another lens. 📸

One of my favourite things is watching our guests stop to photograph the moments that matter to them.

Sometimes it’s a mountain.
Sometimes it’s a tiny flower.
Sometimes it’s the landscape or a springbok in the distance.
Sometimes it’s simply another person trying to capture the same moment.

Different cameras.
Different eyes.
Different stories.

Time is probably the most valuable thing we can give each other.

These 18 ladies chose to spend theirs walking through Damaraland together.

Colleagues, friends and family. Plenty of laughter. Plenty of stories. A few tired legs. Countless memories.

Private groups always have a different feel. We don’t create that magic—we simply have the privilege of walking alongside it and providing the safe container for the experience.

These bracelets are more than a souvenir.

They remind us that the best journeys are never just about the kilometres walked, but about the people we meet along the way.

Same place. Different perspective.

Just a few minutes apart, yet it feels like two completely different worlds.

One moment the first rays of sunrise quietly find their way through the trees. The next, the granite walls of the Brandberg glow in fiery reds and oranges.

This is one of the many little gifts that await along our Damaraland Camino. Out here, nature reminds us that sometimes all it takes is a different perspective to see something extraordinary.

Some places don’t just stay in your camera roll… they stay with you. ❤️
