A 17-day rescue mission has ended with four Cape fur seals safely back where they belong.

The seals became trapped around 200 metres inside tunnels at Cape Town’s Sturrock Dry Dock, turning what might sound like a simple rescue into a challenging operation.

The Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation team worked over 17 days to carefully guide the animals out — and eventually, all four made it to safety. 🧡

A pretty good reminder that some Cape Town stories do have happy endings.
