Would you give up a few modern comforts to feel completely immersed in your surroundings? 🌿

No TV. Screens only on the windows. No need to lock your door when you leave (there’s still a safe). Falling asleep to the sound of frogs and crickets and waking up to tropical birds singing before sunrise.

I did exactly that in Costa Rica… and it was honestly one of the most peaceful travel experiences I’ve ever had.

Hidden away in the rainforest and only accessible by boat, Playa Cativo is the kind of place that makes you completely slow down and reconnect with nature in the best way possible.

Luxury doesn’t always mean marble floors and city lights. Sometimes it’s the sound of the jungle, open-air living, and feeling completely disconnected from the outside world.

I’m always encouraging my clients to step outside their comfort zones and embrace unique experiences while traveling… so naturally, I do the same. 🌿✨

While staying in the cloud forest of Bajos del Toro, Costa Rica, I decided to try sound healing surrounded by nature, birds, and waterfalls.

And honestly? It completely fell flat for me. 😂

But that’s the beauty of travel — not every experience has to be life-changing to be memorable. Sometimes the best stories come from the things that surprise us… or simply don’t live up to the hype.

I’ll still keep saying yes to new experiences every chance I get. That’s part of the adventure.

Luxury travel isn’t always about big resorts and packed itineraries. Sometimes it’s about reaching a hidden destination by boat, staying somewhere with only 18 rooms, and experiencing nature in a way that feels completely personal.

Currently exploring the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica, where days can begin kayaking through mangroves at sunrise, continue with snorkeling alongside sharks or searching for scarlet macaws in the jungle, and end with guided night hikes spotting some of the rainforest’s most fascinating creatures.

These are the kinds of immersive, experience-driven journeys that stay with you forever — intimate, adventurous, and deeply connected to the destination itself. 🌿🛶🦈🦜
