Meet the team: Denise Fransen/ Commercial Assistant Cushman & Wakefield
"I walked in and thought, wow, this is impressive."
You rarely hear about the people who keep a building running smoothly, yet they are the reason everything works. Cushman & Wakefield’s Denise Fransen is one of them. Since joining in November, she has been working behind the scenes as a commercial assistant, supporting everything from lease agreements to tenant questions and parking management. “It’s really all those supporting tasks,” she explains, “the things around it that keep everything running.” Her role touches almost every corner of WTC The Hague, even if most people don’t immediately see it.
Her move into commercial real estate was a conscious one. After eight years in residential property, she was ready for a different dynamic. The commercial side feels more structured and direct. “Here it’s more businesslike. Clear, straightforward and I actually really like that.”
What she did not expect was her first encounter with the building itself. No prior visit, no real frame of reference, just walking in on her first day. “The lobby really surprised me,” she says. “It’s modern, lively… and then all the facilities inside, I didn’t expect that at all.” From the coffee spots to the restaurants, the scale and atmosphere made an immediate impression. “I had never worked in a building like this before. I walked in and thought, wow, this is impressive.”
For now, she is not focused on mapping out the next step. “What I’m doing now, I really enjoy,” she says. The priority is simple: understand the building, grow into the role and be someone tenants can rely on. Quietly essential, in a place that clearly made an impact from day one.
