When a woman returns home from a Queenager on the Loose experience, I want her to bring home more than a suitcase.

I want her to bring home stories.

The kind that start with:

“You won't believe what happened...”

I want her to bring home photographs that make her smile.

New friendships.

A few inside jokes.

A greater understanding of another culture.

Maybe a new favourite food.

Perhaps a little more confidence.

And hopefully...

A renewed belief in herself.

Because the destination is only part of the experience.

The real magic happens in everything that happens along the way.

The woman who was nervous about travelling with a group discovers she actually loves it.

The woman who didn't know anyone finds herself laughing with new friends over dinner.

The woman who wasn't sure she could do something gives it a go — and realises she could.

Those moments are why I'm creating Queenager on the Loose.

I want women to come home thinking:

“I did that.”

“I was brave enough to try.”

“And I want to do it again.”

Because perhaps the greatest souvenir we can bring home isn't something we bought.

Perhaps it's the version of ourselves we discovered while we were away. 💜

🌸 What if you went?

What if you actually booked the trip you've been thinking about?

What if you wandered through Japan?

What if you tasted something completely unfamiliar?

What if you made a new friend?

What if you laughed until your stomach hurt?

What if you discovered that you were braver than you thought?

What if you came home with stories you couldn't wait to tell?

Sometimes we spend so much time asking:

"What if something goes wrong?"

Maybe it's time to ask:

"What if something goes wonderfully right?" 💜

Japan 2027 is waiting.

And I'll be stepping onto that plane for the first time too.

💃 An evening of Flamenco in Seville🇪🇸

There was no way I could visit Seville without experiencing a flamenco show, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

Flamenco is so much more than dance. It brings together song, music and movement, with the guitar, powerful voices, rhythmic clapping and those incredible foot stamps all creating something incredibly emotional and captivating.

Its roots are deeply connected to Andalusia, shaped over generations by different cultures, with the Roma community playing an important role in its development. By the 19th century, flamenco had moved from family gatherings and private celebrations into the famous cafés cantantes, with Seville becoming an important centre for the art. The first of these singing cafés opened in Seville around 1885.

Today, flamenco is recognised around the world and was added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list in 2010.

But history aside, watching it live was something completely different.

The passion, emotion, strength and sheer energy of the performers filled the room. The dancers seemed to tell a story through every movement, while the music and rhythm drew you completely into the moment.

It was one of those experiences that reminds you that travel isn't just about seeing beautiful places, it’s about feeling and experiencing the culture of the places you visit.

And this was definitely an experience I’ll remember from my time in Seville. 🇪🇸💃✨

🇪🇸 Seville – four days of sunshine, culture and new friendships ❤️

I spent four lovely days exploring the beautiful city of Seville, arriving just in time for the Spanish National Day on 12 October 🇪🇸. There was such a wonderful atmosphere around the city as people came together to celebrate.

One of the absolute highlights was Plaza de España – truly one of the most beautiful squares I’ve seen. The architecture, colourful tiles and sheer scale of it were incredible. I also enjoyed walking around the city admiring the vast cathedral and the stunning ancient buildings around the city.

But perhaps the best part of my time in Seville was meeting Chanti, a new friend I met at a hostel who was from Germany and speaks such good English and was on her first overseas trip. We spent two days exploring the sights, chatting, laughing and enjoying everything Seville had to offer.

It’s funny how travel can bring you to a new place and, completely unexpectedly, introduce you to someone who becomes part of your memories.

Four days, a beautiful city and a new lovely friendship.

This is why I love travelling. 🌍💜

I've discovered something about starting a business...

You rarely feel completely ready.

You can plan.

Research.

Learn.

Prepare.

Make lists.

Ask questions.

And eventually...

you have to take the leap.

You have to press send.

Make the phone call.

Have the meeting.

Put yourself out there.

And trust that you'll figure out the rest along the way.

That's certainly been true for me while building Queenager on the Loose.

There have been moments when I've thought:

“Maybe I should wait until I know more.”

But if we wait until we know everything, we may never begin.

So I'm learning to be comfortable with being a work in progress.

I'm learning to celebrate the small wins.

The conversations.

The connections.

The people who believe in the vision.

And even the setbacks — because they teach me something too.

I think we sometimes imagine successful entrepreneurs as people who had absolute confidence from day one.

I'm not sure that's reality.

Sometimes confidence comes after you take the action.

You do something that scares you.

You survive it.

You learn from it.

And then you think:

“Okay... I can do this.”

Then you take the next step.

That's how I'm building Queenager on the Loose.

One brave step at a time.💜

🐪 One of the biggest reasons women tell me they haven't travelled more is…

"I don't want to go alone."

And I completely understand.

There's a difference between wanting adventure and wanting to experience it by yourself.

That's why I believe there's something incredibly special about women-only group travel.

You arrive not knowing everyone.

You leave with stories, laughter and hopefully a few friendships you never expected.

And Egypt is going to be one incredible adventure to share.

Ancient history.

The Nile.

Fascinating culture.

New experiences.

And a group of women discovering it together.

You don't have to wait for someone else to be available before you start living your travel dreams.

❤️ A special week in Mojácar – family, sunshine and precious memories 🇪🇸

After exploring new places, it was time for a very special week catching up with my parents in beautiful Mojácar.

We enjoyed lovely evenings out in restaurants, listening to live bands, long morning walks and exploring some of the beautiful places nearby. Sometimes it’s the simplest moments that mean the most, good food, laughter, conversations and spending quality time together.

One of my absolute favourite places is Pueblo Mojácar, the beautiful whitewashed village perched on the edge of the hillside, overlooking the Mediterranean. Its winding streets, charming corners and breathtaking views make it such a special place to wander.

It was a week filled with sunshine, family time and those little moments you know you’ll look back on with a smile.

Travel isn’t always about ticking off destinations or having adventures. Sometimes, it’s about slowing down, reconnecting with the people you love and making memories together.

And Mojácar certainly gave us plenty of those. ✨🇪🇸
