Round 2 kicked off this weekend giving Casey more time to get out on the track with the training classes, a great way to enter the sport and get familiar with the track, racing lines and having other bikes moving around you. Riding a Kayo 150, bikes and gear available from MCI ( motorcycle Canterbury) doing a great job supporting the younger ones into the sport

John and Ren having an absolute blast on their Self Guided Tour of the South Island!
Yesterday carving up some beautiful roads including a ride up to Mt Cook.
Today, waiting out a bit of snow at Lake Ohau Lodge, with an overnight stay and I know they have a restaurant, bar, and spa pool as well as breathtaking views of the lake!

Heading through Hokitika,
Westland Greenstone is well worth a look. They have a massive selection of authentic, hand-carved pounamu, making it a great place to find a genuine piece of the West Coast to take home. It’s lightweight, easy to pack and the workshop itself is a good stop to stretch your legs and see local carving up close.
Was very impressed with the place and they have a 5 minute video of the carving process. Very cool!

Last day, Twizel, Mt Cook, another pie at the Fairlie Bakery, and scenic route 72 giving us the scenic route into the back of Christchurch.
Scored Awesome weather which was an absolute bonus ad I was expecting some torrential rain in parts, but no, Mint! 😁
Now, can’t help but eyeball the top half 🤔

Wanaka, cardrona and crown range, awesome. Into Arrowtown, Kawarau gorge and Linda’s pass stunning, settling in twizel the night. Even managed to score a Fairlie bakery pie in twizel!
