YOURTravel & Tours Kapiti - Our Travel & Tours team has arrived in Brisbane for the Annual GTN Conference.

This is our opportunity to meet with our wonderful airline, travel, cruise & tours suppliers in one place and of course the brilliant Global Travel Network team.

Some of you will have spotted a familiar face in our team photo - we are delighted Maxine re-joined us this week as our Retail Travel Manager 🙌 (more to follow in our next newsletter).

Yesterday we visited Remy Martin and were educated on Cognac. Thanks to Tanya our host and the rest of the team, who were just lovely and happy to share with us all their fabulous knowledgeable information about all things Cognac. We learnt so much and we will never get Cognac and Brandy confused again!! 😂

If you have travel booked with us to/from Europe/UK via the Middle East which may be affected by the current conflict, we will contact you directly, if you have not already heard from us.

We are closely monitoring the situation as it unfolds and with one of our management team currently in Europe, this means they are on a similar time zone, so are aware of any changes as they happen and can immediately advise the team back in NZ if required.

We are also staying updated with the airlines and any other operators to support our travellers, if needed, with regards to any cancellations and rescheduling.

We also strongly recommend checking the latest travel advisories from MFAT the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and if not already done so, then registering with Safe Travel via website https://www.safetravel.govt.nz

As this really is a quickly evolving situation, airline policies are changing frequently/daily and sometimes more often. However please be rest assured our travel team is here to assist and if need be, we will review alternative travel options should if you choose to change your plans.

Hopefully this will be short lived and peace can be returned to the region very quickly🤞🙏

A fabulous day spent in the Crete countryside exploring local villages and farming areas, in the olive and wine growing areas. Sampling wine, cheese, local tomatoes and olives (plus oil) - delicious 😋

This is a great way to spend a day outside Heraklion or the other cities - Elena our guide was just lovely, although the surprise walk up a 709m “hill” after lunch was a surprise 😂😂 but such a quaint little church at the top - well worth the walk up.
