The WORST time to realize you need to renew your passport is at the airport.
Make a habit of checking your passport’s expiration date when you start researching destinations, NOT when you're packing your bags. Remember: many countries require 6 months of validity remaining and kids’ passports (under age 16) are only valid for five years, which can fly by faster than you think!
