🥄 This Sunday, during one of the most vibrant weekends of the St. Dominic’s Fair (Jarmark św. Dominika), we celebrated Gdańsk’s title of European Capital of Gastronomic Culture 2025 with a special culinary event – Flavour Stop.

Guests enjoyed live cooking shows and tastings, where professional chefs from renowned Gdańsk restaurants – Piwnica Rajców, Olivia Star and TYGLE Gdańskie – shared their culinary skills and tips.

Visitors also enjoyed fresh goat cheese, with a chance to watch the cheese-making process live – a real treat for food lovers.

The bee-inspired zone drew families with wax candle workshops and engaging stories about honey production, while therapy dogs brought smiles and positive energy to all ages.

And when a brief rain passed, the sun returned… along with even more guests!

✈️ New direct flights from Gdańsk to Madrid and Sicily!

From October 28, Wizz Air will launch new direct connections from Port Lotniczy Gdańsk im. Lecha Wałęsy to Madrid and Catania. Both routes will operate three times a week.

This is great news for event planners and business travelers – with even better access to and from southern Europe, Gdańsk continues to strengthen its connectivity for international MICE events.

Gosia Kopij and Magdalena Grabarek are back from The MEETINGS SPACE in Madrid, where they represented Gdańsk Convention Bureau and shared what our city has to offer to international MICE professionals.

It was also a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and reconnect with familiar faces — all within the beautiful setting of The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Madrid where the meetings were held.

The conversations were engaging, the atmosphere inspiring, and the meetings and valuable conversations confirmed once again that Gdańsk and the Pomorskie region continue to spark interest as a destination for smart, sustainable, and memorable events.

✨ This Saturday we celebrate World Amber Day – and in Gdańsk amber is not only a beautiful souvenir — it's an immersive experience. And one of the best places to explore it is the Muzeum Bursztynu - Muzeum Gdańska (Amber Museum in Gdańsk), located in the heart of the Old Town, inside the historic Great Mill building.

📍 Today, in Radisson Blu Hotel, Gdansk we had the pleasure of meeting with Maciej Dobrzyniecki – a culinary ambassador and promoter of food culture – together with representatives of Gdańsk and regional restaurants.

This gathering is part of a series of meetings focused on developing the culinary brand of Pomerania. 🌊🍽️

We strongly believe that gastronomy plays a key role in shaping the quality and identity of our destination, and that’s why we’re joining forces with Maciej Dobrzyniecki to build a community of passionate restaurateurs from across the region.

After the presentation part, we engaged our guests in an interactive quiz 📊 – not just for fun, but to open a space for sharing insights and opinions, which we value deeply. We want information to flow freely between all of us – this is how we grow stronger together.

🍓 And the star of the day? The Kashubian strawberry! Voted by our guests as one of the most important regional product – in an open question format, without any suggested answers.
